A Brooklyn-based startup company, Toggle, has developed a robot that assembles reinforcing steel. “Taking very heavy things and moving them precisely” is a perfect task for industrial robots, according to a recent Architects Newspaper online article. The robot is actually working on current projects in New York City. The current version of the robot works alongside a human; the robot places rebar and the human ties bars together.
